National Board of Directors

People often question whether the National Board of directors matter because their day-today impact is difficult to observe. As the governing body of a nonprofit, the board of directors fulfills a variety of roles and responsibilities. The Board of Directors serves as the policy-making body of the sorority and exercises general and final supervision over all business and affairs of the sorority. Working together with the Executive Director and Executive Boards, the Board lays the foundation and the vision for nationals to manage the day-to-day operations of Lambda Phi Xi.

The scope of authority of Lambda Phi Xi Multicultural Sorority, Inc., the National Board of

Directors is to program, legislate, administrate, and advise. By virtue of the authority vested in the Lambda Phi Xi constitution, the NBD shall have the power to regulate all matters of organizational interest, except those that are institutional at any college or university that Lambda Phi Xi may reside. Lambda Phi Xi

recognizes the authority of each chapter’s Office of Greek Life, Department of Student Life, Division of Student Affairs, and other offices having control over Greek organizations.

The Board of Directors currently consists of three officers. This upcoming Summer 2017 these directors will no longer be on the national board as their term will end. At the 2017 National Convention new officers will be elected. To cast your vote for the Fall 2017-Fall 2018 Board of Directors you must be in attendance. Celeste Henderson - Executive Director

Our National Executive Director is Celeste “Donna Kaden” Henderson. Celeste crossed Fall 2012 in Epsilon Chapter on December 6, 2012 with Iota Line Fiore Illuminate.

National Executive Director: also taking the duties of Director of Communications, Director of Alumnae Relations, and splitting Director of Finance & Director of Philanthropy. Officer term: Fall 2015 – Summer 2017.
